Suitable Resolutions Adopted.

Previous to the convening of the joint session yesterday, The adjourned bar meeting in honor of the late Judge J. C. Hemingray was held. The Committee on Resolutions, consisting of Messrs. Zach Phelps, John C. Walker, Mare Mundy, Robert J. El­liott, and Judges Emmet Field and Ster­ling B. Toney, reported the usual eulogy and biography. There followed feeling tributes by Mr. Zach Phelps and Judge Field.

Judge Hemingray was born in Pitts­burgh in 1825, and begun business in Hopkinsville, this State. He first be­came a clerk in a dry goods store there, and by his diligence only was he able to study law, he came to this in 1879.
