Robert Hemingray, born in Pittsburg 80 years ago, died at his home at Covington, Ky., yes­terday. He was a pioneer in the flint glass trade and was president of the Hemingray Glass company, of Muncie, Ind. In this city he was familiarly known among glass men as "Uncle Bob." Mr. Hemingray received his education and business training in this city. Miss Mary Carroll, a member of an old Pitts­burg family, became his bride before he left here. He leaves a wife and five children: Mrs. William Phelix [sic] Felix, wife of Rev. Mr. Phelix [sic] Felix of Lexington, Ky.; Mrs. Bradford Shinkle, Ralph G., Daniel and Robert Hemingray, of Coving­ton, Ky. The sons are interested in the Hemin­gray Glass company. The funeral will take place at Covington on Thursday.
