Mr. and Mrs. Daniel C. Hemingray, of Covington, reached New York yesterday on the Koenig Albert. They left New York on July 4. He said to-day, before he turned his face toward the old Commonwealth: "I intended before I left America to hold out a little trip for myself abroad to which I would pay special attention. I wanted to do Ireland from one end to the other. But, as I now feel, that trip will have to come after I have died and gone to heaven." They joined Mr. and Mrs. Will S. Perkins at Frankfort. Mrs. Perkins it will be remembered, went abroad for her health, which was considered precarious. The many friends of this charming woman will be glad to learn that she has wonderfully improved. On their return voyage Mr. Hemingray put in a good deal of time on the Koenig Albert with Benjamin Ehrman, who did so much to build up the present election system In Cincinnati as a member of the Board of Elections. Mr. Ehrman went abroad early in June to travel over Spain, study its people, its arts, and all else of interest to the man of culture. |
