SHINKLE SERVICE

Banker's Mother Dies at

Home in Kentucky

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hemingray Shinkle, 80, mother of A. Clifford Shinkle, chairman of the board of the Central Trust Co., will be made Monday at 3 p. m. from her home on the Dixie Highway, near Ft. Mitchell, Ky. Burial is to be in Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Shinkle died Saturday night.

Dr. L. L. Henson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Covington, will officiate at the services. Mrs. Shinkle was a member of the church for many years.

Mrs. Shinkle was the widow of Bradford Shinkle and the daughter of the late R. W. Hemingray, president of the Hemingray Glass Co., Covington. She presented Union M. E. Church, Covington, several years ago, with a stained glass window in memory of her father-in-law, Amos Shinkle, one of the founders of the Methodist Church in Covington.

She was also one of the leading patronesses of the Protestant Children’s Home. The old Shinkle Homestead at Second and Kennedy streets was donated to the Salvation Army and used for 10 years as a hospital. The new Booth Memorial Hospial [sic] Hospital later was built on this site.
