Being Overhauled.

NO GUARDS AT MIDLAND

The tanks and furnaces at the Hemingray glass works are being over hauled and placed in condition to begin work within two weeks. It is expected that everything will then be ready for the fire. There will be no dispute over the signing of the scale, it is thought, and by the first week in August this factory will be again in operation.

The coal burning tank at the Hemingray factory has been about completed, but will not be given a practical test until next fire. The system to be used is one of the best, and there is little doubt that it will prove successful.
