At the convention at Zanesville last week the earnings of the several locals in the A. F. G. U. were given. The report shows Local No. 23. of this city, as having [dollar:$29,085] in earnings in 1897, and [dollar:$59,119.20] for 1898. Local No. 91, also of Muncie, had [dollar:$53,780.50] in 1897 and [dollar:$89,125.50] in 1898, These show a very material increase in wages in both branches. For the 131 locals in the organization the wages for 1897 were [dollar:$2,802,182.90]. while the amount for last year was [dollar:$3,339,082.70].
