CRANE FALLS
AT OLD BRIDGE
Nearly Goes Into River--
Saved by Barge.

Old Bridge, May 19: — A fifty-ton crane used by the Brookfield Glass Company, of this place, tipped over Monday and was only saved from the South river by a barge owned by the Scully Transportation Company, of South Amboy, The crane fell on the barge and the P. R. R. wrecking crew hoisted the huge piece of mechanism back on the railroad with bit little difficulty. Spreading rails caused the accident. Engineer Nicols was in charge of the crane.
