SHOW MUNCIE MADE PRODUCTS AT FAIR Chamber of Commerce Display Attracts Wide Attention Among Fair Goers. The "Made in Muncie" booth at the Delaware county fair is attracting wide attention among fair goers. Thirty-nine of the eighty-five industries here have contributed products. Among the industries which have exhibits and are little known to the majority of Muncie people are the Depoy Bottle Cap Company, making milk bottle caps; Holloway Hat Company. manufacturers of men's and women's hats; Tom's Mayonnaise Company, making mayonnaise; Velvetine Soap Company. Elkins’ Drum Company, O. J. Manufacturing Company, manufacturers of cleaning compounds; John E. Schaubut, cigar manufacturer, and the Better Radio Products Company. New products of older firms shown include art glass serving trays by Durham Manufacturing Company; pint, quart and half-gallon bottles, demi-johns and vinegar cruets by the Hemingray Glass Company; new sizes of electric cookers, Excel Electric Company; new style lamps. Aladdin Company; preserving set by M. H. Tyler Company, and a metal folding cot by the Moore Manufacturing Company. Display lo Be Moved. Other exhibitors include Nossett Brothers, A. E. Boyce & Co., Muncie Set Screw, Muncie Foundry and Machine Works, Hoosier Clutch, Maxon Premix Burner, Muncie Casket Company, Beatrice Creamery, Butterfield Canning Company, Dougherty Brothers' Bakery, Hager Manufacturing Company, Ontario Silver Plate, Indiana Steel and Wire Company, Ball Brothers, Skillen-Moore-Sample Company, American Lawn Mower, Richmond School Furniture Company, Victor Garment Company, Griffith Furniture Company, Millikan Bending Company, Delaware Brass and Aluminuum [sic] Aluminum Company, Warner Gear Company and Glasscock Products Company. The committee in charge of the arrangements for the display is headed by George Dyke and other members are H. F. Hager, Rodney G. Hayler and W. J. Kirkpatrick. Arrangements have been completed by Paul O. Meredith, Chamber of Commerce, to have the display continued in an uptown window following the closing of the fair. |
