ELECTED TODAY


Tuberculosis Body Headed by

Zimmerman.

 

W. Paul Zimmerman, secretary-treasurer of the Hemingray Glass Company, Tuesday morning at the annual meeting of the Delaware County Tuberculosis Association, was elected president to succeed Dr. S. Gilbert Jump, county health commissioner. Dr. Jump has been president of the association for several years.

Mrs. E. B. Ball was elected vice-president to succeed Lee O. Baird, county schools superintendent. Mrs. John Gubbins as secretary and Moses E. Black as treasurer were both re-elected.

Ten directors to fill expired terms and vacancies were also elected at the meeting. Three directors — Mr. Zimmerman, Mrs. Fred Jewett and Mrs. George Hoover, were re-elected. New directors includes Mrs. E. B. Ball, Mrs. Thomas Owens, Mrs. S. O. White, John Udell, Mrs. Harry Howick, Mrs. Mabel Whiteley and Mrs. Finley Vincent.

Retiring Directors.

Retiring directors include Charles A. Wood, Lee O. Baird, Mrs. Robert Long, Mrs. Elmer Miller, Miss Agnes Smith , and Mrs. J. L. Kimbrough.

The annual report, of Miss Chloe M. Jackson, executive secretary, was submitted. In the past month the nurses have made 151 visits relative to the health of school children, while 141 interviews were held on the same subjects. The nurses spent 122 hours on school work. There were 361 cases under care at the opening of the month, 11 added and the none discharged. There are 18 pa­tients in sanatoriums.
