Thirty-Two Reserve Men Go

To Culver.

 

Thirty-two officers of the reserve corps from the Muncie mobilizatian [sic] mobilization district, all of them assigned to the 335th Infantry, which has its headquarters in this city, will at­tend school at Culver Military Academy from August 23 to Sep­tember 5.

Two other officers elected to take potluck with the guardsmen at Camp Knox, Ky. August 2 to August 16. Not many prefer serv­ice with the guardsmen in the Ken­tucky camp, when cooler Northern Indiana is offered and a lake is thrown in to boot.

Take Duty Training.

The two officers who will take their active-duty training with the guard, are Second Lieuts. William L. Lucas and Raymond N. White, both of Winchester.

Those who will take their training at Culver, include Lt. Ray Ap­plegate, of Muncie; Lt. Marvin G. Chester, of Fort Wayne; Lt. Phillip B. Clark, of Ft. Wayne; Lt. Edgar A. DeMiller, of Muncie; Lt. The 335th Infantry headquarters is located at the Hemingray Glass Company in the main office build­ing. The office of the Muncie district is also in the same offices. Col. Phillip W. McAbee, of Muncie, commands the regiment, while, Capt. William L. Brown, DOL. is executive officer for the regiment and also in charge of the district.
