COVINGTON ORDINANCE.


AN ORDINANCE levying and assessing a tax for the improvement by grading of the first alley west of Madison Avenue, from Second to Third Streets.

SECTION 1.

Be it ordained by the General Council that a tax of 0.14 37-100 per front and abutting foot be and the same is hereby levied and assessed upon all the lots and parts of lots and the owners of same, fronting or abutting on each side of the alley first west of Madison Avenue, from Second Street to Third Street, and apportioned among the owners of said lots and parts of lots as herein-after specified to pay for the improvement of said alley between said points under contract by the city Covington with Ben Dressmann, contractor.

1. Lot on the east side of said alley beginning at Third Street, thence northerly 190 feet and with that front extending easterly 50 feet.

Covington Transfer Company, owner, 190 feet, $27.30.

2. Lot on the east side of said alley beginning at the north line of the first alley north of Third Street thence northwardly 95 feet and with that front extending westerly to Madison Avenue.

Putnam. Hooker & Co., owners, 95 feet, $13.65.

3. Lot on the east side of said al­ ley, beginning at Second Street, thence southwardly 145 feet and with that front extending easterly to Madison Avenue.

Covington Transfer Railway Com­pany, owner. 145 feet, $20.84.

4. Lot on the west side of said al­ley, beginning at Third Street, thence northwardly 100 feet and with that front extending westerly 28 feet.

Mary Ellis, owner, 100 feet, $14.37.

5. Lot on the west side of said al­ley, beginning 100 feet north of Third Street, thence northerly 90 feet and with that front extending westerly 50 feet.

Hemingrav Glass Company, own­ers, 90 feet, $12.93.

6. Lot on the west side of said al­ley, beginning at Second Street, thence southerly 65 feet and with Washington Street.

Hemingray Glass Company, owner's, 65 feet, $9.34.

7. Lot on the west side of said al­ley, beginning 65 feet south of Second Street, thence southerly 80 feet and with that front extending westerly to Washington Street.

Covington Transfer Railway Com­pany, owner, 80 feet, $11.50.

8. Lot on the west side of said al­ley, beginning 145 feet south of Sec­ond Street, thence southerly 95 feet and with that front extending westerly 50 feet.

Hemingray Glass Company, owners, 95 feet, $13.05.

SECTION 2.

Be it further ordained that Ben Dressmann be and is hereby ap­pointed Special Collector to collect the tax levied and assessed in this ordinance.

SECTION 3.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
