ENGINEER FILES SUIT

Against a Glass Company and the

Superintendent Who

Discharged Him.

Covington, Ky., April 12. — [Special] — Fred W. Moore filed suit for $1,500 damages in the Circuit Court to-day against the Hemingray Glass Company and Edward Evans. Superintendent of the defendant company. The plaintiff alleges that he was formerly employed by the company as engineer, and on March 1, 1900, was discharged for refusing to perform duties other than those of an engineer. After his discharge, he claims, he secured employment at the mill of D. C. Culbertson at a salary of $10 a week, but later was discharged, the defendant Evans having told Mr. Culbertson that he (Moore) was incompetent to perform the duties of an engineer and would not work.
