END OF FLINT'S CONVENTION.

The annual pow wow of the flint glass workers which was held this year at Cincinnati is now a thing of the past. The frolic is over and what has been accomplished? Nothing. Absolutely nothing except the throwing of an old man out of office, (Wm. J. Clare) without pension, who for 10 years had faithfully served the ingrates who have deposed him, and made no provision for his declining years. The election of officers took place last Saturday and resulted as follows:

For president, the present incumbent, T. W. Rowe, was nominated by Wm. J. C. Croke. No other candidate was placed in nomination. For vice president, John F. Monahan, of Philadelphia, Wm. J. Croke, of Marion, Ind., and Thos. J. Conboy, of Alexandria, Ind. Croke was elected on the second ballot. For assistant secretary, Wm. J. Clare, the present incumbent, was defeated by Wm. P. C. Clark, of Muncie, Ind. For treasurer President Rowe was elected by acclamation, it having always been the custom in the past to combine the office of president and treasurer. The election of executive officers from the different departments resulted as follows: Pressed ware branch - Wm. H. Weror, Jeannette, Pa.; John F. Tobin, of Summitville, Ind.; J. W. Halpin, Rochester, Pa., and W. M. Gardner, of Philadelphia. Chimney executive board - Thos. J. Conboy, Alexandria, Ind.; M. E. McSwiggen, Steubenville, O.; J. E. Smith, Brooklyn, N. Y., and H. C.
