Mr. Frederick G. Baum, formerly professor of electrical engineering at the Leland Stanford University, and more recently assistant general superintendent of the California Gas and Electric Corporation, has been appointed to the chief engineership and the general superintendency of that corporation, vice L. M. Hancock, resigned.
