MUNCIE'S GLASS PLANTS.

The Chas. Boldt glass works, Muncie, Ind., is operating steadily, as is also the Hemingray factory. The furnace at the latter plant is being worked regularly after a shutdown of several weeks. Ball Bros., the leading fruit jar manufacturers of this country, have transacted an immense amount of business thus far this year, having shipped many carloads of jars daily to all parts of the country. This firm was very unfortunate in having both tanks in the green department burst at the time when the product was badly needed. One tank has now been repaired, however, and is working steadily and a force of tank builders has been working night and day to get the other in shape.
