SHOOTING AND GOLF.

Two Events Today That Will Interest

Many Others.

The big two days' shooting tournament of the Magic City Gun club will commence on the grounds at Westside this morning at 10 o'clock and will continue for two days. During the entire day there will be matches at blue socks in fifteen and twenty bird events. Tomorrow morning there will be live bird shooting, both at sparrows and pigeons, and there will be some of the crack shooters of the state present to go after the fancy cash prizes. Several of these crack shots are already here and the morning trains today will bring others.

The final of the three-cornered golf contest between Muncie, Marion and Richmond will occur at the Country club links this afternoon, with Richmond opposing the Muncie champions, who hace [sic] have not lost a contest up to date, having twice beaten Marion and once lowered the colors of Richmond. The game will begin promptly at 12:20 o'clock this afternoon to enable the Richmond men to get home on the early evening train. The Muncie team will be composed of the following players: Paul Powers, George Brownlee, Jay Lee Turner, Carl Oesterlee, John McNaughton and Will Myers. Owing to the death of Mrs. Hemingray last night, Mr. Robert Walker will not take part in the game. His place will be filled by Mr. Oesterlee.
