Covington Glass Co. among plants signed onto L.A. 300 union

J. P. Shaughnessy, of Fairmount, preceptor of L. A. 300 and foreman of the Big Four Glass company, says that the report that the blowers are not making market money is false. Every blower in the factory has a balance to his credit, and the new cutters and flatteners are doing as good as work the old ones ever did, said Mr. Shaughnessy. He stated that the claim of John N. Parsons that only one independent plant has signed the L. A. 300 scale is incorrect, and said the following independents have signed and are working to the satisfaction of every one concerned. Van Camp, at Matthews; Brickner Glass company at Sweetser; Diamond Glass company at Gas City; Wilmington Glass company at Wilmington, Del.; Camp Glass company, at Southport, Pa.; Ithaca Glass company, at Ithaca, N.Y.; and the Covington Glass company, at Covington, Kentucky.
