MUNCIE, IND.

By Walt Claspell.

The Hemingray Glass Co. are now operating two tanks, having started one the latter part of January. Some difficulty was experienced in getting gatherers for all the shops, 12 of the old gatherers having been put to pressing. The places have finally been filled. Business is still good and we hope it will get better. It looked like old times at our meeting in February. Thirty-one new faces from Columbus, as well as some from Gas City, were there. We obligated five new members. We sure had a good meeting. The following brothers were obligated: Wm. Meyers, Robert Bailey, Thurman Apple, Cecil and Alvin Purvis.

Brothers Wm. Morgan, Jack Kelly, Chas. Pace and Ed Knecht have accepted jobs after being away from the trade for some time.

Some of the boys from Columbus are having a hard time getting broke in. Everyone knows (especially those who have worked on them) that insulators are not the easiest ware on earth to get used to as the glass must be so hard.

Brother Charles Knecht is the proud father of an 8-pound girl. Mother and baby are doing well. Congratulations.
