OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENCE

EDS. COM.: — Commodore Perry, from St. Louis to Cincinnati. Manifest, -- Harrison & Hooper, 664 bbls molasses and 52 hhds sugar; Minor & Andrews, 100 hhds sugar; Robert Hosea & Co., 22 hhds sugar; John B. Bell, 144 bbls molasses; W. S. Baxter, 9 pcs castings; Spinning, Slocum & Culbertson, 105 sks peaches; Williamson & Wann, 8 hhds sugar; Sprigman & Co., 1 box; Gray, Hemingray & Bro., 25 bbls sand.

Passed steamer Delegate sunk, about two miles above West Franklin, about one third the width of the river from the Kentucky shore, in 8 feet of water — The principle portion of her cargo will be a total loss, as she has 100 hhds sugar, and other perishable freight. We took off the crew. They report one man lost. — Others that may be missing have had a chance to escape by going on board the Ella, as she struck the Delegate twice. The Captain and both mates remained with the vessel. Met the Ella this morning, without jack-staff or gallows-frame, and her nose bandaged in tarpaulin. She has, what is generally termed, an inquisitive nose, but still it shows evidence of punishment for undue inquiry into the contents of the Delegate.
