WASHINGTON, D. C., June 23. — Alfred Meacham, of Muncie has been appointed Deputy Revenue Collector for the District of Eastern Kentucky and Western Tennessee and has been ordered to proceed to his post of duty at once. The place is a desirable one as it pays $4 per day and allowance for expenses. Mr. Meacham who is an officer in the National Glass Workers association, was strongly endorsed by Congressman Cromer and by the labr element of the gas belt.
