Alfred Meacham departs today for new work in Louisville

Alfred Meacham will depart today to assume his new duties as Deputy Revenue Collector. The young man has been assigned to work at Nashville, Tenn., instead of Louisville as reported. He has received his commission with orders to at once report. This is to be regretted by members of the Flint Glass Workers Union, as Mr. Meacham was a prominent factor in completing arrangements for the entertainment of the convention in Muncie next month. His presence at the meeting will also be missed by the delegation, but under the existing circumstances the other members are glad to know that he has received such a lucrative position.
