FIRE. — Van Wie's carpenter shop and the glass warehouse of Gray & Hemingray, on Hammond st., was destroyed by fire about 11 o'clock last evening. The lard oil works of Burckhardt & Co., and one or two other buildings, were slightly damaged by the fire. The losses we have not learned. The fire originated in the carpenter shop and was no doubt the work of the incendiary, as the building was fired a few evenings since. The fire department operated admirably.
