MUNCIE, IND.

By Walt Claspell.

There isn't much change in conditions at Hemingray's. Natural gas has been replaced by producer gas. The brothers are drawing their 10 per cent increase and are glad. Shipping is still good and everything looks good for a long run.

The Hemingray Co. lost their veteran night watchman, John Hansbro. No doubt many of the brothers who have worked at the Hemingray factory will remember this old negro as he watched the factory for a period of about 25 years and was employed by the company for at least 30 or 35 years. He retained the respect of all the employes and no doubt his familiar "Hello dah" and cheery smile will be missed by the brothers as well as his efficient services will be missed by the company.

Well, brothers, are you on the water wagon? Have you broken that New Year's resolution yet?

Brother Lonnie Green is on the wagon; we are very glad to see him there. Brother Lonnie was on a toot a few weeks ago. After taking a good supply he got one shoulder up and one down, proceeded to a flower store and purchased a fine bouquet and the last we saw him that night he was standing at the rear of a movie show waiting to escort Mary Pickford to the hotel.
