JOHN C. GRAY, FORMER

G. M. HEMINGRAY'S, DIES

Lived in Muncie Many Years and Was

Once Exalted Ruler of Local

Lodge of Elks.

John C. Gray, for fifteen or twenty years a resident of Muncie during much of which time he was general manager of the Hemingray glass factory, died yesterday afternoon at his home in Los Angeles, where he had lived for six or seven years, Failing health compelled him to leave Muncie for a rest but it was thought at the time he would soon recover. However his health declined slowly but steadily until the end came.

Few persons were here more popular than he. During his long residence in Muncie he became widely acquainted and was especially well known in the Muncie Lodge of Elks of which he was once Exalted Ruler. At the time of his leaving Muncie Mr. Gray made his home in the Andrews apartments on Vine street. His only near relative is his sister Anna, who was with him when he died. Ralph G. Hemingray, of Muncie, was a cousin.

The funeral service will be held Monday in the home of William Percival, his brother-in-law. 530 South Boyle avenue, Los Angeles.
