Fire at Hemingray's.
The department from No. 2 fire station was called to Hemingray's factory at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, where a fire had started from a bursting gas pipe. Before the hose cart arrived the fire was extinguished by the prompt action of the men employed at the factory. Had the fire once secured headway, it would have been a very dangerous one.
