ERECT WAREHOUSE
AT OWENS-ILLINOIS
Building is Additional Unit
Of Expansion Program.
Necessitated by a steadily growing volume of business, a new warehouse is being planned by the Hemingray division of the Owens-Illinois Glass Company, Macedonia avenue and Ninth street, W. Paul Zimmerman, general manager, announced last night.
Ground dimensions of the new plant unit will measure 103 by 300 feet. Mr. Zimmerman said. The structure will be of glass brick and steel fireproof construction. Work on the building is expected to begin shortly.
Steel for the framework will be supplied by the Indiana Bridge Company. A. J. Glaser will have charge of general contracting work. The new warehouse will be an additional unit of the expension [sic] expansion program which was announced several months ago. Work on the other units is being completed.
