PROFITS SET RECORDS

FOR OWENS-ILLINOIS

NEW YORK, Oct. 16. — (AP) — Owens-Illinois Glass Company, with plants in Eastern, Midwestern and Pacific Coast states, reported today the largest earnings in his­tory for the 12 months ended Sep­tember 30.

Net profit was [dollar:$9,641,996], or [dollar:$7.25] a share on 1,329,593 shares of common stock. For the 12 months ended September 30, 1935, profit was [dollar:$7,893,976], or [dollar:$6.58] a share on 1,200,000 shares.
