Zimmerman Made Division Manager
W. Paul Zimmerman, above, widely known Muncie man, has been elevated to the position of general manager of the Industrial and Structural Products Division of the Owens-Illinois Glass Company, it was announced yesterday through the office of Harold Boeschenstein, vice-president and general manager of Owens-Illinois. Mr. Zimmerman leaves the position of factory manager of the same division. which includes factories in Newark, O., and Muncie. He will assume his new duties January 1, and his offices will be located in Toledo, although he plans to reside in Muncie for an indefinite period. Before being given his present position. Mr. Zimmerman was manager of the Hemingray division of Owens-Illinois and served several years as an officer of the Hemingray Company before it passed to Owens-Illinois management. The Muncie plant manufacturers glass building blocks, insulators, and pressed glassware. The Newark factory manufacturers all types of fibre glass and glass insulation. |
