VICTOR PLANT PLANS OUTPUT Insulator Production to Be Begun in 2 Months By Company VICTOR—Production of insulators will start in about two months according to the officials of the Victor Insulators Inc., who have recently purchased the old Locke Insulator Plant in Maple Avenue. Originally the new company planned to build a factory on a site to be bought by Victor taxpayers. The Locke plant was bought at about half the cost of a new plant, according to Bentley Plimpton, president and treasurer. The total saving to the local taxpayers will amount to about $5,000 as the village would have had to build additional water mains and paid for the new railroad siding in addition to buying the site. Several men are employed by the Locke Insulator Corp., of Baltimore, Md., getting the plant ready to turn over to its new owners. |
