NEW COMPANY TO ESTABLISH VICTOR PLANT Insulator Firm Gets Capital as Village Backs Plans Victor, Apr. 27—(Special Dispatch)—Victor Insulators Inc. will establish a plant in Victor, it was assured today following a meeting in Village Building. A committee headed by Mayor James Burns has been canvassing the village during the last three days to raise the required $25,000 capital. The committee was composed of Homer Synder, G. W. Higinbotham, Leslie Hulbert, William F. Keating, Carl D. Smith, E, B. Case, Flor Malone, Leslie Loomis, L. A. Rugg. The required amount was over-subscribed by $6,000, making a total of $31,000 stock sold local residents. It is understood the officers of the company are to put in $75,000, making the total capitalization $106,000. The village of Victor will give the site for the factory. The site, owned by James Tobin, adjoins the New York Central Railroad and is situated south of Main Street in School Street. Work on construction of the factory will begin at once. Mayor Burns today said ground would be broken next Wednesday with ceremonies. |
