Widow of Bradford Shinkle Dies in

Kentucky Home-Daughter of

Glass Manufacturer.


Mrs. Mary Hemengray [sic] Hemingray Shinkle, mother of A. Clifford Shinkle, Chair­man of the Board of Directors of the Central Trust Company, and President of the Covington and Cincinnati Bridge Company, died last night at her home on Lexington pike, near Erlanger, Ky.

Mrs. Shinkle was a life-long resi­dent of Kenton County, having for many years lived at her colonial home on Lexington pike. She was the widow of Bradford Shinkle, son of Amos Shinkle, one of the original owners and builders of the Cincin­nati and Covington suspension bridge. She was a daughter of Mr. Hemengray [sic] Hemingray, who was an early glass manu­facturer in Covington, Ky. She was 81 years old.

Besides her son, A. Clifford Shinkle, Mrs. Shinkle is survived by another son, Bradford Jr., St. Louis, M. and a grandson, Frank D. Cross, Cin­cinnati.

Funeral services are to be con­ducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock, at her residence. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitch­ell, Ky.
