INGALLS GLASS PLANT
Passes Into Hands of One of the
Former Creditors.
A report of receiver’s sale and also warranty deeds conveying the property of the Wagner-Davis glass company of Ingalls, to John A. Ridgeway, of Indianapolis, were filed with the county recorder at Anderson yesterday.
According to the report of the receiver of the company, Charles C. Britton, Mr. Ridgeway offered $15,000 for the property and his bid was the only one received. The decree of court, approving of the sale by the receiver and directing that Mr. Ridgway's [sic] Ridgeway's bid be accepted, was made by Judge Remster in the Marion circuit court, Indianapolis. It also appears that the sale was approved July 1.
The report of the proceedings as filed shows that Mr. Ridgway [sic] Ridgeway was endorser on $20,000 of notes by the Wagner-Davis company.
The warranty deed executed by Mr. Britton, receiver, in favor of Mr. Ridgway [sic] Ridgeway conveys three lots in Ingalls, the lots bring occupied by the Wagner-Davis company’s factory. It is not explained in the report of the receiver's sale as to what Mr. Ridgway [sic] Ridgeway will do with the property.
The Wagner-Davis factory is the principal industry at Ingalls.
