Wednesday afternoon the Chamber of Commerce members and City Council will be the guests of the California Glass Insulator Company, whose plant, on the inner harbor, was started ten days ago, and will witness a practical demonstration of glass-making. The company has orders enough ahead for eight months' steady run. The present factory will make only the glass insulators, but eventually other equipment will be added for the various branches of glassware. An unlimited quantity of silica sand on the Bixby ranch is controlled by the company.
