NEARING COMPLETION

Glass Company’s Big Building Will Be

Ready in About Two Weeks

Capt. Swan Hovick, who has the contract for the construction of the big building for the Anacortes Glass company, expects to complete his work within the next two weeks.

The main building, which covers nearly an acre of ground, and the separate building for the engines, are closed in and are now being shingled, and the work on the office building has commenced.

The combined floor space of the furnace and layer [sic] lehr houses — 9,300 square feet — will be covered with cement, and there will be 6,040 cubic feet of cement in the oil tank.

Part of the machinery for the plant is looked for to arrive the last of this week.
