PLANT IS ACQUIRED BY J. O.

CHANGES AND PUT PLANT IN
OPERATION - ALLMOND RETIRES
FROM COMPANY’S BOARD
Arrangements are being completed in Seattle this week by which control of the glass plant is being turned over to J. O. Jensen, who has been connected with its affairs for the last two years. Mr. Jensen will, it is expected, complete the work at the plant undertaken some months ago and put it into operation.
At the recent meeting of the trustees of the Washington Glass Manufacturers, Inc., owners of the plant, Douglas Allmond resigned both as secretary of the company and as trustee. Valentine Funk was elected secretary, but the vacancy on the board has not been filled.
As soon as finances can be arranged Mr. Jensen will recommenee work at the plant, and it is expected that a few weeks will see the remodeling completed and the plant in operation.
The plant has now been closed down far a little more than a year. Extensive improvements were undertaken a year ago and almost completed, when unexpected difficulties in financing the plant was encountered and work stopped.
The work of rehabilitation and reorganization was undertaken by a committee from the local Chamber of Commerce at the request of all parties concerned in the former management.
