PUEBLO, COL. -- The Arkansas Valley Ry., Lt. & Pwr. Co., of Pueblo, will rebuild approximately 40 miles of transmission line between Pueblo and Skagway hydroelectric station, consisting principally of re-insulating lines, using approximately 5000 high-tension insulators and pins. The company is extending its local service about 2-1/2 miles to a dairy district to provide electricity for lamps and meters. It also has contracts for approximately 1000 hp (new business) in the Cripple Creek gold-mining district. To serve this it will require additional distributing lines, high-tension transformers, lightning arresters, etc., most of which have already been purchased. The company may extend its transmission line to several additional villages in the Arkansas Valley this season.
