Kimble Glass to Honor

A. J. Martin, director of labor relations for the Owens-Illinois Co., will be the speaker for the 15th Annual Service Award Dinner Nov. 11 in the Hotel Roberts ballroom, honoring 37 employes of Kimble Glass Co., O-I subsidiary in Muncie. A total of 175 persons are expected to dinner meeting honoring the long-service employes of Kimble Glass and its predecessor companies.
Forrest Hazelbaker Sr. will be presented with a maroon and white enamel pin representing 35 years of service, and blue and white, emblems will be presented to Kenneth Brown and Erville Pope, for 30 years of service. Ed Langas will serve as toastmaster.
THE SPEAKER, Mr. Martin, has been with Owens-Illinois for 39 years, first working as a book-keeper with the Owens Eastern Bottle Co., He has served in various capacities in design development, industrial and labor relations since that time.
Twenty-five years of service with the presentation of gold watches, will be recognized for, Durward Carmichael, Marvin Johns and Robert Pershing. To be honored for 20 years service are Earl Carpenter, Alfred Collins, Francis Crouse, Robert Fogle, George Jett, Fred Johnson, Harold Opperman, Ben Rhinehart, Eugene Robertson, Everett Whitlock and George Wiseman. A pin for 15 years service will go to James Hull
PINS CERTIFYING 10 years of service will be awarded Roy Bertram, Ralph Bilbrey, William Brasher, Earl Burton, William Coyle, Glen Elliott, George Gregory, Kenneth Hiatt, Clyde Hicks, Walter Houk, Daily Lynch, Gola Mahoney, Forest Milligan, Chester Pierce, Otis Pierce, Loranza Potter, Herbert Pyles, James Roysden and Eugene Thomas.
Serving as receptionists for the award program will be Garrie Antonini, Mary Jilbert, Marilyn Lare, Gladys Silence and Dorothy Van Ness.
