Kimble Glass to
Present Awards
Forrest Hazelbaker Sr., with 35 years at Kimble Glass and its predecessor companies in Muncie, will receive the top award at the annual service award dinner of the Owens-Illinois subsidiary Friday night in the Hotel Roberts ballroom. Hazelbaker will receive a maroon and white pin emblematic of 35 years service, with 30-year pins to be presented to Kenneth Brown and Orville Pope.
Durward Carmichael, Marvin Johns and Robert Pershing will receive 25-year gold watches. The awards are being presented to a total of 37 employes with a minimum service of 10 years.
A. J. Martin, director of labor relations for Owens-Illinois who has worked for the company for 39 years, will be the speaker. Ed Langas will serve as toastmaster. The dinner program will get under way at 6:15 p.m.
