Kimble to hold it's annual service award dinner

Banquet to Honor Veteran

Employes of Glass Company

The Kimble Glass Company’s Muncie Plant will hold its annual service award banquet for employes Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. in the Hotel Roberts ballroom. Honored guests will be employes who have served with the company for more than 10 years.

Special attention will be given to the two men who will join the “Pioneer Group,” employes who have worked at Kimble’s for 25 years and more. They are Austin Collins of the Shipping Dept., and Cecil Brown of the Forming Dept.

Carl R. Megowen, president of the Owens, Ill., Glass Co. and chair­man of the board of the Kimble Glass Co., will be principal speaker at the 12th annual ceremonies.

JOHN E. BAUER, plant man­ager, and S. A. Kenworthy, vice president and general factory man­ager of the Kimble Glass Co., will present gold watches to the two new 25-year men and pins to em­ployes who have worked more than 10 years with the company. “Liv­ing in Harmony” is the theme of the banquet.

Others who will receive awards will be William Myers, Lester Hahn, Earl Hiatt Sr., Harry Jones, Floyd McCormick. William Arm­strong, William Brown, Charles Clevenger, Henry Herbert and Herbert Smith, of the "Pioneer Group."

Those who have worked for Kimble’s less than 25 years but more than 10, include Cecil Her­bert, Clifford Burton, R. M. Collinsworth, Marcus Corn, Joseph Dame, David Dews, Hubert Dick­ens, Charles Fair, Joseph Haller, Herschel Harlan, Carl Hunnel, Clifford Hutchens, Homer C. John­son, Lloyd Snider, Glenray Stin­son, Jesse Swaim, George Warner, Richard S. Brown, Hollis Campbell, James Carr, Herman Cary, Frank Casper, Earl Clark, Percy Croswell, Max Davis, Robert Fair, Earl Hiatt Jr., James Houk, Donald Isenhart, Mary Jilbert, Kirby Johnson, Robert Miller Jr., Talmage Recce, Paul Rees, W. O. Rittenhouse, Rex Sayers, Paskle Simmons, Paul War­ner and Polly Wood.

Among the Kimble Glass officials attending the banquet will be E. B. Dennis Jr., vice president and general sales manager; K. M. Hen­ry, vice president and chief engineer; E. P. Lockart, sales man­ager, Insulux Division; W. W. Wood, personnel director, and D. E. Oren, administrative assistant to general factories manager.
