Kimble and the AFGWU have begun union negotiations

Representatives of the Kimble Glass Co. and the American Flint Glass Workers Union began nego­tiations on a new contract Thurs­day afternoon at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago.

The union negotiating team is led by Ed. Dickson, national executive board member, and in­cludes Howard Pyle, Earl Car­penter, Lester Lare, Ralph Marks, William Alfont, Everett Hayden and George Stewart.

Locals 5, 17 and 32 at the Kimble plant are involved and the current agreement expires Nov. 15.

Mr. Dickson said he expected a settlement to be reached with no work stoppage.
