To Present
Service Pins
A total of 29 service award pins, including one for 50 years of duty, will be awarded at the 13th Annual Service Award Banquet of the Kimble Glass Company, to be held at the Hotel Roberts Nov. 11.
To receive a 50-year pin is William Brumback, who began work in the Muncie plant June 15, 1903. He will be awarded a gold pin with three diamonds, commemorative of his half century of service. He is now employed in the shipping department.
A 40-YEAR PIN will be awarded Everett Barnett, and John Macken will be recognized for 35 years of service. Pins for 30 years of service will go to Henry Himes, Eugene Macken, Carey Opperman, John Bauer, James Illman and Howard Wilson.
To be initiated into the Kimble Pioneer Club, receiving gold watches will be Joe Sheridan and Ralph Marks for a quarter century of service. All employes serving 25 years or more become members of the Pioneer Club.
THE LARGEST group to receive pins is the 10-year contingent, including Huston Boyd, Carl Brinson, Clifford Cavanaugh, Homer Clark, James Crisp, Herbert Dillon, Earl Henderson, Dorris Herbert, Richard Herron, Frank Joy, Lester Lare, Mary Massey, Charles Reagan, William L. Smith, Pearl Swift and James Tincher.
Herman Cary will receive a retirement certificate. Speaker for the annual award dinner will be Carl R. Megowan, president of Owens-Illinois Glass Company and president, of Kimble Glass Company. The awards will he presented by John Bauer. Muncie plant manager, and Fred Pinotti, chief engineer of Kimble Glass Company. Ed Langas, personal director, will serve as toastmaster.
