Chest Drive Will
Open Friday at
Kimble Plant
Joint planning by labor and management of Kimble Glass Company for this year’s Community Chest campaign within the plant was announced today by Ed Spence, plant manager and three presidents of the AFL unions representing the workers.
The presidents include Ralph Marks, president of AFGWU Local 32; Ed Dickson, president of AFGWU Local 517 and Everett Laisure, president of AFGWU Local 50.
SHOP COMMITTEMEN and officers of the American Flint Glass Workers Union of North America will do the soliciting for Community Chest on Friday. Both payroll-pledging and cash contributions will be accepted.
Contributions of members of the management staff will be included with the plant workers in the report for the company’s participation in the drive.
Committemen and union officers who will do the solicitation include Richard Brown, Cliff Cavanaugh, Ray Kirby, Tom Graves, George Warner, Jesse Stewart, John Barnhouse, Everett Hayden, Marvin Johns, Sid Cooke, Hubert Dickens, Less Lare, Paul Swearingen, Don Isenhart, Ernest Parkison, Roy McDonald and James Palmer.
