It's Kimble Glass Co. Now
The Owens-Illinois Glass Company at Toledo announced that its subsidiary here, the American Structural Products Company, has changed its name to Kimble Glass Company, and on June 1 will acquire the business and assets of the Kimble Glass Division. Net assets of the subsidiary will then total more than $20,000,000 with total employment more than 5,000. The Kimble Division produces glass tubing and rod, scientific laboratory glassware and container specialties, with plants at Vineland, N. J., Chicago Heights, Ill., Warsaw, Ind., and Toledo. The name Kimble Glass has been widely-known in the glass industry from the time the original company was formed in Chicago, 1901. The company was acquired by Owens-Illinois in 1946. American Structural Products Company was organized as a subsidiary of Owens-Illinois in 1947. |
