Sam Dyke starts the Dyke Marble and Toy Works

WILL EMPLOY 100 HANDS

S.C. Dyke, ex-superintendent of the Akron Marble Company's Works, has purchased a block of seven acres of land in the South Akron Land Company's allotment between the plants of the Western Linoleum Company and the Akron Hardware Company. Mr. Dyke will commence immediately to build a factory for the manufacture of marbles and toys. The factory when completed will give employment to 100 men, boys and girls.

Mr. Dyke has a wide spread reputation in the manufacture of this class of goods, which will insure him a flourishing trade in the very beginning of his venture. The new concern will be known as the Dyke Marble and Toy Works.
