SAM DYKE NOW MAKES STONE INSULATORS
“Making many solid granite marbles at your Boston factory, Mr. Sam Dyke?”
“No; we are now running on stone insulators.”
“’Stone insulators?’ What are ‘stone insulators’?”
“Insulators made of stone, of course.”
“Thought insulators were always made of glass.”
“They used to be; but it has been ascertained that insulators made of stone are better than glass ones.”
“How does the price compare with glass insulators?”
“The stone ones are about twenty per cent. Cheaper, and, as they are better, we cannot supply the demand.”
“Who buys what you make?”
“The Central Union Telephone Company, and it is much pleased with the insulators we supply them.”
