New President,
General Manager
at Kimble Glass
Election of William J. Stewart as president and general manager of Kimble Glass Co. has been announced by Carl R. Megowen, president of Owens-Illinois Glass Co., of which Kimble is a subsidiary.
Stewart replaces Raymond H. Mulford, who will now serve in the administrative division of the parent company. Both Mulford and Steward are vice presidents of the parent firm.
Stewart, who was named as Owens-Illinois director of personnel administration in 1955 and vice president the following year, has served in O-I plants in Terre Haute, Gas City, Huntington, W. Va. and Alton, Ill.
As president of Kimble, he will be responsible for the operations of plants in Muncie, Vineland, N. J., Columbus, O., Chicago Heights Ill. and Warsaw. His headquarters will be at Toledo, O., where Kimble maintains its central office.
Megowen also announced that John P. Kearney will head Kimble Glass Company’s new Industrial and Electronics Division. Kearney, who was in charge of development work on color television tubes and other new glass products, is a Kimble vice president and has been general manager of the Electronics Division.
