Kimble Glass Promotes Three Muncie Men

Three local men will be advanced at the Muncie plant of the Kimble Glass Company, effective July 1, to fill vacancies created by the retirement of Plant Superintendent Charles H Alexander, on that date.
John E. Bauer, manager of the local subsidiary of Owens-Illinois Glass Company, announced the following promotions.

EUGENE MACKEN, SR. |
Earl Hiatt, Sr., R. R. 5. Muncie, will assume the duties vacated by Alexander's retirement.
Eugene Macken, Sr., succeeds Hiatt as forming department supervisor; and Lester Hahn, now head operator in the forming depart ment, has been promoted to line foreman in Macken’s place.
All three of the men being promoted have extensive experience in glass manufacture gained in long years of service with the local Kimble unit.

Both Hiatt and Hahn will be honored with 35-year service pins at the plant's annual service award dinner this fall.
Macken has 29 years of plant service.
Macken lives at 2010 S. Walnut street; Hahn at 3105 South Pershing drive.
The local plant manufactures Hemingray communications insulators, Insulux glass block, and miscellaneous pressed glassware.
