Michael J. Clarke, who has been occupying the important position of factory superintendent of the Hemingray Glass Company at Muncie, Ind., was a Toledo visitor during the month and took advantage of the occasion to call at the National Office to extend greetings and to also visit the American Bank for which he has been a booster. The Hemingray Glass Company is the principal producers of glass insulators and operates its plant with automatic machinery, consequently only a limited number of skilled mechanics are employed. Michael is a brother of President Clarke and is well known in the glass trade. For years he was very active in the affairs of the Flints and during that time contributed much towards the progress of the organization.
