49 to Receive Kimble Glass Service Pins Kimble Glass Co. will hold its 17th annual Service Awards banquet Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Ballroom of the Hotel Roberts. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Forty-nine persons representing more than 1,030 years of service to Kimble Glass and predecessor companies will receive service award pins. The principal speaker will be Jack Connelly, manager of the administrative service department of Kimble Glass. Ed Langas will be toastmaster. 45 1/2 Years Service William Myers, forming department, has the longest service record with a total of 45 years and six months. Another forming department worker, Harry Jones, has the second longest service record, 40 years and eight months. Others who will receive 40-year service awards are Floyd McCormick, Earl Hiatt Sr. and Lester Hahn. Pins for 35 years of service will be presented to William Armstrong, William Brown, Charles Clevenger, Henry Herbert and Herbert Smith. Cecil Brown will be the only employe to receive a 30-year service award. The 20-year group includes Clifford Burton, Marcus Corn, Joe Dame, David Dews, Hubert Dickens, Charles Fair, Joe Haller, Carl Hunnel, Clifford Hutchens, Homer Johnson, Lloyd Snyder, Glen Stinson, Jesse Swaim and George Warner. Pins for 15 years of service will be presented to Hollis Campbell, James Carr, Earl Clark, Percy Croswell, Robert Fair, Earl Hiatt Jr., James Houk, Don Isenhart, Kirby Johnson, Robert Miller Jr., Paul Rees, Rex Sayers, Paskle Simmons, Paul Warner and Polly Wood. On the honor list for the first time, each with 10 years of service, are Kenneth Blacksten, Rose Anne Browning, Rader Deegan, Ed Langas, Glennis Lewis, James Palmer, Forrest Phillips, James Walling and Merrill Wilson. |
