JOHN H. MACMILLAN

John H. MacMillan, 305 Shellbark Rd., has been appointed personnel department manager at Owens-Illinois Glass Com­pany’s Toledo, O., general of­fices, Tom M. Cox Jr., manager of O-I administrative services, has announced.

MacMillan has been supervis­ing industrial engineer at the Muncie plant of Kimble Glass Co, an O-I subsidiary. Mac­Millan joined Owens-Illinois as an industrial engineer at Vineland. N.J., in 1947 and later served at plants in Warsaw, Co­lumbus. O., and Muncie and at the Toledo offices.

MacMillan succeds [sic] succeeds Robert G. Ludwig who has been named to the newly created position of di­rector of management develop­ment at Kimble in Muncie.

Ray H. Mulford, Kimble presi­dent, said Ludwig will be respon­sible for the development of management training programs as well as being secretary to the committee on Management ap­praisal and organization review.

Ludwig has been assigned in O-I's general offices since he joined the company in 1910. Be­fore entering the personnel de­partment in 1950, he served as rate structure supervisor for the Glass Container Division. He was named assistant personnel director in 1951, and manager four years later.
